Founded in April 2004, Alba is focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of peptide therapeutics to treat autoimmune, immune mediated and inflammatory diseases.

Alba’s objective is to build a biopharmaceutical company by discovering, developing and commercializing synthetic peptide and peptidomimetic drugs and vaccine and drug delivery adjuvants with a focus on specialty applications in the field of immunomodulation / inflammation (“IDI”).  The Company’s current product focus is based upon the modulation of cellular tight junctions to inhibit inappropriate barrier function and paracellular transport which leads to the propogation of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
